About The Position

The House Supervisor is responsible for the compliance, administration and day-to-day operation of the group home(s) in which they oversee. The well-being of the clients and staff, as well as the management of the property is the overarching responsibility of the House Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • 2 plus years of experience in a progressive leadership role
  • 1 plus years of experience in the DD field
  • Evolv, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • DSP Certified
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to meet agency driver safety requirement of carrying personal vehicle insurance with the following limits: $50,000 bodily injury, each person $100,000 bodily injury, each accident $50,000 property damage
  • Ability to use Phone, Fax, Copier, and file required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in hiring of new DSP staff
  • Make direct contact with new employee(s) during the first day of training.
  • Develop a house-training plan for all new hires and provide checklists for both house and client specific information.
  • Ensure this information is communicated to new staff timely.
  • Work with Residential Coordinator to fill/solve any scheduling gaps by utilizing the approved staff e.g., subs, part-time, floaters.
  • Review the weekly schedule to ensure all shifts are filled and match the budgeted hours.
  • If not within the budgeted hours work with Residential Coordinator to achieve desired results.
  • Complete monthly training with all house staff, including checklist sign-off sheets for all staff.
  • Communicate on an on-going basis with QIDPs.
  • Working with the QIDP, ensure a deep understanding of clients goals, which are required to be tracked and documented within the home.
  • Working with the QIDP, provide input and direct implementation of behavior plans within the home, as needed.
  • Maintains house hours within budget.
  • Responsible for management of client cash maintained within the house daily.
  • Communicate daily all client issues, successes and other relevant information to the QIDP.
  • Audit data sheets on a monthly basis to ensure accurate completion by house staff.
  • Complete monthly schedules with the use of each CILA assigned staff e.g., full time and part time
  • Approves benefit time, scheduling and payroll submissions.
  • Documents and issues disciplinary actions and CCRs, when/if needed.
  • Responsible for managing all mail and correspondence relating to client and forwarding to appropriate internal staff, billing, benefits, compliance, HR, etc. for action.
  • Responsible for checking MARS and submitting med error reports(s) to the Nurse Coordinator.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and respects client boundaries.
  • Follows HR policies and completes HR paperwork.
  • Contacts HR with questions concerning either.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Serves as primary contact for family members regarding day to day operations of the home
  • Completes all drills and environmental checklists on time
  • Assist medical team with appointments, as approved by Manager
  • Provides all receipts, purchase orders, etc., to Residential Coordinator within 72 hours of purchase.
  • On a monthly basis, executes house inspections, planned and unannounced, for cleanliness, organization, safety issues and paperwork reviews.
  • On a monthly basis, plans and completes activity calendars and ensures implementation by staff.
  • Completes monthly menu and ensures implementation by staff.
  • Performs monthly inventory of house goods and ordering supplies.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Maintains monthly records of Link Card usage and utilization.
