About The Position

A professional household in Frisco, TX, guided by Christian values, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized House Manager to oversee day-to-day household operations. The ideal candidate will share similar values, demonstrate thoughtfulness, flexibility, and strong attention to detail, and be committed to maintaining a smooth-running home. The family values professionalism, reliability, and organization. Both parents work outside the home, with one parent traveling frequently, making a dependable House Manager essential. Responsibilities include managing household operations such as laundry, errands (including grocery shopping), meal preparation, and coordinating vendors. The House Manager will also provide flexible support when the children are home due to illness, school holidays, or summer breaks, covering mornings as needed. The household has an afternoon nanny who will overlap with you to ensure consistent care for the children during afternoon and evening hours. The ideal House Manager enjoys proactive, organized work and can adapt seamlessly to the family’s systems, helping maintain smooth daily routines. They are committed to a long-term partnership, supporting household stability, consistency, and growth. Energetic and adaptable, they thrive in a busy household with overlapping schedules. Transportation is provided through a family vehicle, or candidates may use their own vehicle with mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of recent household management experience , including at least 1 year as a professional nanny or private household provider
  • Proven expertise in family and household management, including meal preparation, running errands, scheduling, and coordinating household staff
  • Strong organizational skills and comfortable managing to-do lists, spreadsheets, and household systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle with insurance (for use when family vehicle is unavailable)
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Strict non-smoker
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background and criminal history check
  • Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to maintain family privacy
  • Excellent childcare references (minimum of three)
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
  • Up-to-date on vaccinations (COVID-19 vaccination preferred but not required)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Commitment to long-term employment, ideally 3–5 years or more, with a minimum 1-year commitment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily household operations, including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare nutritious meals for the family and children, including simple dinner options, as well as breakfast and lunch on days when children are home
  • Manage children’s and family laundry efficiently, following the family’s preferred systems and instructions
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and order in common areas, children’s spaces, and throughout the home
  • Manage household supplies, restock as needed, and ensure a smoothly running, well-organized home environment
  • Coordinate errands and routine household tasks to support the family’s needs efficiently
  • Liaise with household vendors (cleaners, contractors, etc.) and manage service schedules
  • Provide flexible childcare coverage during school closures, holidays, or when children are home sick, until the afternoon Nanny assumes responsibility
  • Handle mail, package deliveries, returns, and seasonal organization projects
  • Maintain household systems, including to-do lists, calendars, and family schedules
  • Communicate proactively with parents regarding household status, schedules, and updates
  • Provide support at the family’s secondary residence (approximately 20 minutes from the main home) as needed
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency throughout the household.
