About The Position

Hello! We are a lively family of four with two sweet girls (ages 4 and 5.5) and our super chill Siberian Husky, who all keep us laughing and on our toes. We’re both entrepreneurs, so our life is often buzzing with excitement. Both parents work from home, and Dad travels frequently for work. With his regular travel, the family values flexibility, a positive attitude, and support that helps keep daily life running smoothly. We recently made the move to beautiful Laguna Beach and are loving every second of it. We are a family that thrives on adventures, both big and small. When we’re not working, we enjoy traveling with friends and family, checking out local spots, and simply enjoying the sunshine at the beach. We believe in creating a life full of memories, with a focus on gratitude, fun, and making every moment count. We’re looking for someone to help us stay organized amidst our busy schedules. We value reliability, but also a kind, easy-going energy that can adapt to the ebb and flow of our family. We want someone who’s proactive, yet can go with the flow and isn’t afraid to pitch in with whatever needed when things get hectic. If you love kids, have a fun, relaxed vibe, and are comfortable with a large, friendly dog (our Husky is a big softie!), you’ll fit right in with our family dynamic.

  • Comfortable around children and a medium-sized dog (Siberian Husky)

Responsibilities

  • Household Management & Organization
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, kids' toys, and storage)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily (load/unload dishwasher, wipe down surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas); ensure house is ready for cleaning services
  • Keep track of the household calendar and ensure everything is organized and on track
  • Help manage the girls' clothing as they grow (notify of what needs to be bought)
  • Collaborate with mom and help execute plans for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Coordinate donations and ensure items are dropped off/picked up
  • Unpack suitcases and organize the girls' travel clothing
  • Oversee service providers as needed (cleaners, landscapers, etc.)
  • Maintain indoor plants
  • Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands (grocery shopping, dry cleaning, gift shopping, etc.)
  • Handle package pick-ups, mail sorting, and deliveries
  • Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Restock fridge and pantry with basic essentials
  • Plan and prep healthy meals/snacks for both adults and kids ("Paleo-ish" meals that mostly avoid dairy, gluten and eggs)
  • Cook or prep dinner 1-2 times per week; meal prep can be flexible and collaborative with family
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and maintain kitchen tidiness
  • Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, and restock essentials
  • Iron and steam outfits as needed
  • Ensure laundry areas are tidy and well-stocked
  • Pet Care
  • Prepare food and manage occasional dog walks
  • Schedule and coordinate vet, grooming, and daycare appointments
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
  • Flexibility to dog sit and house sit when family is away
  • Vehicle Management
  • Schedule maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
  • Ensure family vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
  • Track registration, insurance, and service schedules
  • Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance for service providers (cleaners, landscapers, contractors)
  • Coordinate with the landlord as necessary
  • Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Assist with school/activity pick-ups/drop-offs as needed
  • Occasional babysitting or evening support (e.g., weekly date night for parents)
  • Provide backup childcare when the school is off or closed
  • Opportunity for overnight childcare support when the family is away
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)
  • Maintain and refresh entryways, garage, and mudroom
  • Clean appliances like humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
  • Organize seasonal projects like toy storage or holiday decorations
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
  • Have oversight into family calendar and manage reminders
  • Provide light support for mom’s coaching business as needed, including help with content creation for social media, event planning, basic organization, and other ad hoc business-related tasks.
  • Assist with coordination of appointments and guest preparation
