Human Resources announces an opening for an Hourly Administrative Assistant with The Department of Human Resources. The Hourly Specialist provides confidential administrative and program support to the Substitute Coordinator and Licensure Specialist. The incumbent assists with substitute and licensure related processes, responds to inquiries, routes employees and school based staff to appropriate internal offices as needed, and maintains accurate and secure records in compliance with APS guidelines. Qualifications High School diploma or GED; including or supplemented by courses in business and office practices with a minimum of two years’ responsible clerical experience, preferably in an education related setting. Excellent human relations skills; ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels in a courteous and tactful manner. Excellence in business English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Experience Knowledge of business and school office procedures, practices, and equipment; business English and office terminology. Knowledge of the operation, uses, and capabilities of computer equipment and computer programs utilized at APS including HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
