Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full time Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospitalist in Onancock, Virginia. 🌟 Join Riverside Medical Group as a Full-Time Hospitalist Physician 📍 Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital – Onancock, Virginia Are you a dedicated physician passionate about delivering high-quality inpatient care? Join our dynamic team at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, where you’ll play a vital role in managing and coordinating care for hospitalized patients. 🔍 About the Role As a Hospitalist, you will serve as the primary care provider for inpatients, managing their medical care from admission through discharge. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in hospital settings and familiarity with inpatient protocols
  • Commitment to patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Virginia
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by an approved board
  • Current DEA license
  • Independent decision-making in patient care
  • Timely and accurate documentation
  • Experience with managed care and Medicare populations
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to complete charts and communicate with care teams promptly

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care
  • Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
  • Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care
