Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Labor Pool Hospitalist physician to join our team at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. Location: Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia Employment Type: Labor Pool Are you a dedicated physician passionate about delivering high-quality inpatient care? Join our dynamic team as a Hospitalist, where you’ll play a vital role in managing and coordinating care for hospitalized patients.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in hospital settings and familiarity with inpatient protocols
  • Commitment to patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Current DEA

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care
  • Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
  • Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care
