The Hospitalist Coordinator is responsible for managing in patient flow and provider inpatient assignments. The Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and supporting the coding and billing process for the hospitalist as well as managing compliance and timely completion. The Coordinator assists in shift transitioning as well as a hub for hospitalist communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for all new hires effective April 2014.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills, calculator and/or ten-key adding machine.
  • Word processing, spreadsheet experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
