Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for all new hires effective April 2014.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills, calculator and/or ten-key adding machine.
- Word processing, spreadsheet experience required.
- Experience in healthcare preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Managing in patient flow and provider inpatient assignments.
- Monitoring and supporting the coding and billing process for the hospitalist as well as managing compliance and timely completion.
- Assisting in shift transitioning as well as a hub for hospitalist communication.
