You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Vitalant is one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, providing hospitals and patients across the U.S. a safe blood supply, specialized laboratory services, transfusion medicine expertise and world-renowned reserach. Vitalant provides blood and special services to patients in more than 900 hospitals across the U.S. and host approximately 60,000 blood drives annually.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Six months of customer service experience required
- Able to lift 40lbs
Nice To Haves
- Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
- Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
- Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
- Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
