This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who is prepared to take charge, set clear expectations, and lead the hospital into its next phase of operational and cultural excellence. We are seeking a resilient, visionary, and decisive Hospital Director of Operations (HD) to lead Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE ), a large, multi-specialty veterinary hospital within Ethos Veterinary Health . This leader will take full ownership of hospital operations, setting the tone, driving accountability, and leading from the front. The HD will oversee the hospital’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of care for animals while delivering strong financial and operational performance. Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of senior leadership experience in veterinary hospital operations, healthcare, or retail, ideally in a multi-specialty or matrixed setting.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic and operational initiatives, and foster inclusive collaboration.
  • Brings strong business acumen with demonstrated experience successfully managing hospital financials, budgeting, and full P&L accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree is a plus; MHA/MBA
  • Proven experience building and scaling high-performing teams, driving engagement, and supporting professional development resulting in measurable improvements to hospital financials and EBITDA.
