Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Hospice Administrative Assistant position. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the hospice department, serving as the primary point of contact for incoming calls and inquires and ensuring prompt, professional response and appropriate routing. Provides clerical and administrative support to the hospice and palliative care departments, demonstrating strong initiative, sound judgement, and discretion in managing complex, sensitive and confidential responsibilities within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsible for scheduling certified nurses assistant, insurance verification/authorization request, and communication to clinical on-call team member of same for hospice and home health departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare office setting
