Carolina Meadows is looking for a passionate Part Time Horticulturist to maintain and enhance the landscapes of our community! The Landscape Technician (Horticulturist) is responsible for evaluating and maintaining designated landscapes as well as providing guidance and support to residents on their landscaping needs. This position is responsible for all aspects of landscaping maintenance including annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, irrigation, grasses, hardscapes, as well as snow related events. This is a hands on position requiring high attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and professionalism. Daily communication with residents that requires excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Horticulture Science and at least 2 years in the landscape and/or horticulture industry.
- Must have the ability to acquire a North Carolina Pesticide License within the first 90 days of employment is required.
- Must possess a high understanding of pruning methods that are plant specific.
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with occasional weekends, during weather events and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and treating insects, disease and weed problems.
- Hands on tasks includes, design install, fertilizing, watering, irrigation repair, sourcing plant material and soil amending.
