Horticulture Summer Internship
About The Position
The Summer Horticulture Intern will support the Horticulture and Grounds Team in maintaining and enhancing landscaped areas, gardens, and green spaces throughout the property. This internship provides hands-on experience in plant care, landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, environmental sustainability practices, and seasonal installations. This position is designed for students pursuing careers in horticulture, environmental science, landscape management, botany, or related fields. Interns will gain practical experience in maintaining high-visibility guest-facing environments while learning professional horticultural techniques and operational standards.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past 12 months) from an accredited college, university, or technical program
- Pursuing a degree or certification in: Horticulture Environmental Science Landscape Management Botany Agriculture Plant Science or related field
- Strong interest in plant care, landscaping, and environmental sustainability
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in hot, humid, and varying weather conditions
- Physically able to bend, kneel, lift, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
- Attention to detail in maintaining guest-facing landscaped areas
