About The Position

This position supports the Hope Squad in outreach initiatives that promote a campus culture of equality, safety, and mental health awareness. Two openings are available — please specify whether you are interested in a 19‑hour/week or 10‑hour/week position. HOPE Squad leads will exemplify kind and courteous treatment of others, professional behavior around sensitive topics, and supportive treatment to all students.

Requirements

  • High School
  • 1 year relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing Hope Squad outreach initiatives
  • Attend the weekly Hope Squad class
  • Become familiar with Hope Squad regulations, procedures, and mission
  • Coordinate efforts with various campus departments
  • Help create informative and engaging posters, flyers, videos, and other promotional materials
  • Use office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and desktop computers
  • Demonstrate leadership by fulfilling assigned program responsibilities and organizational roles
  • Assist with planning and creating content for public outreach, including (but not limited to) social media accounts, posters, flyers, emails, and surveys
