About The Position
Are you a compassionate caregiver with a heart for helping others? As a Home Care Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) providing in-home care, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our participants receive the highest quality care. From assisting with daily activities to providing comfort and companionship, your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | 7:00 am - 3:30 pm | Monday - Friday, some weekends required, longer shifts possible based on business needs. Department: Huron Valley PACE | Ypsilanti, MI | Home Care Travel Requirements: This role involves regular travel between Washtenaw, Monroe, Western Wayne, Livingston, and parts of Oakland counties, providing Home-Based Care.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A current and valid Michigan CNA Certification (a must!)
- Reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver’s license.
- CPR Certified, if not we can help!
- At least 1 year of experience working with older adults.
- A heart for helping others and the physical ability to lift, stand, bend, transfer, stretch, walk, push, and pull as needed.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds frequently is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide Hands-On Care – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support Mealtime– Help participants enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
- Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
- Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
- Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
- Provide Responsive Support – Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
- Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
- Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.
