About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Attendant to join our team in Westland, MI. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and support services to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. You will work closely with clients and their families to ensure their needs are met with kindness and professionalism.
Requirements
- Prior experience in home care or related field is a plus but NOT required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plan instructions accurately
- Reliable and punctual with a caring attitude
- Ability to pass background checks
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client’s health or behavior to the care team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the client’s home
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping and errands as needed
- Ensure client privacy and dignity at all times
