The HIM Vital Statistics Specialist completes and files birth and death certificates according to guidelines established by the Rhode Island Department of Health, Division of Vital Records. Processes, completes, and registers Voluntary Affidavits of Paternity. The incumbent ensures the accuracy of the information, processes certificates, and serves as a resource to the State Bureau of Vital Records. Assists external departments in processes of births, deaths and fetal deaths.
