About The Position
Operates tandum dump trucks hauling materials and equipment used in road and bridge construction and maintenance. Operates belt loader, loading a construction and earth type materials (soil, rocks, etc.). Performs semi-skill labor such as constructing catch basins, pouring sidewalks and installing pipe lines. Operates large roller used for asphalt and base compaction. Assists in setting up and taking down work zones. Flags traffic for work Zones. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, may include being available for extended working hours and/or 12 hours shifts.
Requirements
- Six (6) months of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
- Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.
