About The Position

Nodaway Valley Community School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently accepting applications for a High School Social Studies Instructor (Grades 9–12) at Nodaway Valley High School. The successful candidate will be passionate about social studies education and committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of history, government, and current issues. Ideally, the candidate will have certification for economics, psychology, and sociology. The ideal candidate will collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and contribute positively to the school community. This position requires a valid Iowa Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement to teach Social Studies at the secondary level (grades 9–12). Nodaway Valley Community School District serves the communities of Greenfield, Bridgewater, Fontanelle, and Orient in southwest Iowa.
