This posting includes all locations across the South Region. The role involves responding in an emergency medical vehicle to the scene of reported emergencies, nonemergencies, and interhospital transports. The EMT provides efficient and immediate basic life support care to the patient at the scene and enroute to and in the hospital. They perform non-invasive procedures and basic life support functions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and bone splinting. The position also involves performing specialized life sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service and is responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured.
