About The Position

The High Lift Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high lift loaders to load, move, and stockpile materials on construction job sites, plants, or yards. This role supports heavy highway, asphalt, and aggregate operations by ensuring materials are handled accurately, equipment is maintained, and safety standards are followed at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a high lift loader or similar heavy equipment
• Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and job site awareness
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in heavy highway, asphalt, aggregate, or plant operations
• MSHA certification
• CDL (Class A or B)
• Mechanical aptitude and experience performing minor equipment repairs

Responsibilities

• Operate high lift loaders to load trucks, hoppers, conveyors, or stockpiles with aggregate, asphalt, or other materials
• Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation
• Maintain safe operating practices around ground personnel, truck drivers, and other equipment
• Monitor material quality, quantities, and placement to meet production and project needs
• Communicate effectively with plant operators, supervisors, and truck drivers
• Perform basic preventative maintenance such as greasing, fueling, and cleaning equipment
• Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions immediately
• Assist with general site duties as needed to support operations
• Maintain compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and MSHA standards (if applicable)
