About The Position

The Herd Management Sales Specialist for GEA Milking Systems will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and driving sales growth within the large herd / conventional milking sector. This position reports to the U.S. Milking & Cooling Sales Manager. Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years Dairy Management experience with herd monitoring software.
  • Dairy industry Sales experience
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of dairy farming practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including farms and industrial sites.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Heat detection protocols, health management experience, reproduction experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the herd management solutions market.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and GEA Herd Management Solutions dealers.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on client needs and market trends.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote GEA's herd management solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring they understand the capabilities and benefits of GEA's herd management systems.
