Job Title: Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Reidsville, NC Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 06/15/2026 – 39 Weeks Clinical Shift Schedule: 4 Day Schedule (10 -Hour Shifts) | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM COVERAGE DATES 06/15/2026 – Ongoing (39 -Week Assignment) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: Minimum 15 Patients per Day Case Mix: Approximately 60–65% Hematology with occasional Oncology cases; focus on benign hematology and bread -and -butter Hem/Onc conditions FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 5 EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient oncology clinic equipment Specialty Backup Available: Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers Support Staff Available: Nurses, Navigator, Administrative Support, Pharmacy Team, Infusion Specialist Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 Days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (Flight, Rental Car, and Lodging Provided) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Evaluation and management of hematology and oncology patients Follow -up and new patient consultations Writing orders and prescriptions Coordination of care and communication with pharmacy team JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active North Carolina Medical License Required Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology (Dual certification preferred) DEA: Active DEA Required Certifications: BLS Required Experience: Minimum 2–3 Years of Hematology/Oncology Experience Other Qualifications: Ability to manage benign hematology cases and function in a general oncology environment DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient hematology/oncology patient care including new patient evaluations and follow -ups Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders with emphasis on benign hematology Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including nurses, APPs, pharmacy staff, and infusion specialists Maintain accurate documentation and utilize the Epic EMR system effectively

Requirements

Active North Carolina Medical License Required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology (Dual certification preferred)
Active DEA Required
BLS Required
Minimum 2–3 Years of Hematology/Oncology Experience
Ability to manage benign hematology cases and function in a general oncology environment

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient hematology/oncology patient care including new patient evaluations and follow -ups
Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders with emphasis on benign hematology
Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including nurses, APPs, pharmacy staff, and infusion specialists
Maintain accurate documentation and utilize the Epic EMR system effectively
Evaluation and management of hematology and oncology patients
Follow -up and new patient consultations
Writing orders and prescriptions
Coordination of care and communication with pharmacy team
