About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematology and Medical Oncology Physician to join their team in Waco, TX. This is an employed career opportunity at the BSW McClinton Cancer Center, offering a generous benefits package, work-life balance, a competitive salary, productivity bonus, and a moving allowance, with no state income tax. The ideal candidate is a committed team player focused on quality, capable of effective collaboration with referring physicians and other professionals to provide optimum patient care within an integrated health care system. The position involves joining a team of 4 other physicians at a dedicated cancer center, seeing 15-20 patients daily during office hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The center features on-site lab, pharmacy, infusion center, and Radiation Oncology. There is a strong referral base from the primary care network, surgeons, and inpatient services from the connecting hospital. The organization has an academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine - Temple. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems used are EPIC and BEACON. Support staff includes Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Navigators, Nurse Coordinators, and clerical/scheduling staff. Opportunities for clinical trials are also available. The position is open to recent fellowship graduates.

Requirements

  • BC/BE Hem/Onc Physician (Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology)
  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
  • Currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists (Where Applicable)
  • Committed team player with a favorable work/training history
  • Focused on quality
  • Open to recent fellowship graduates
