About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Helpdesk / PC Technician Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Information Technology team in the Fairfax, VA office. This is a non-technical intern opportunity for individuals interested in gaining IT exposure while supporting essential organizational and operational tasks. The role primarily focuses on assisting the IT team with equipment organization, inventory management, and general workspace upkeep. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to assist with hands-on tasks to ensure team efficiency. The intern will also gain basic, on-the-job exposure to IT support functions, including simple troubleshooting, device setup, and learning Helpdesk processes. This position offers a great opportunity to build foundational IT knowledge and contribute to meaningful behind-the-scenes work. Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various team members.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a college degree within the Information Technology field
  • Expected graduation date December 2026 and May 2028
  • Interest in learning Helpdesk or IT support functions
  • Willingness to support organizational, inventory, and hands-on labor tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
