The School of Education and Human Development (EHD) at the University of Virginia seeks a Student IT Help Desk Technician to provide technical support services to faculty and staff. Duties include: Provide technical support to the EHD community to resolve first tier common hardware, software, and connectivity issues in an efficient and timely manner. Accurately document request history. Triage and route advanced second and third tier requests to the appropriate technical personnel. Provide timely resolution of problems or escalate issues on behalf of the user. Perform system upgrades and new system deployments when needed; Operating systems may include but not limited to Windows, MacOS, and iOS. Provide basic application and system support for users. Surplus outdated workstations and equipment following University security guidelines and procedures. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cardboard recycling and refilling paper in multifunction devices. Please attach a resume, cover letter optional.
