About The Position

Examinetics is hiring a Help Desk Support Technician to join growing team! This role will be a full time role on-site at our Overland Park, KS office. The Help Desk Support Technician offers technical assistance to internal employees who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers. Work hours will be from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of work experience in a related position preferred.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems. (10-11)
  • Experience supporting computer hardware such as laptops, serial and USB devices.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking, IP addressing and internet connectivity.
  • Willing and able to work outside of normal business hours.
  • Willing and able to work on call rotations as required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with diagnostic, build, or repair of computer systems at a component level preferred.
  • Familiarity with browser-based applications (IIS), serial devices, Bluetooth devices, wireless network troubleshooting and tablet devices preferred.
  • CompTIA ITF+, A+, Sec+, or Net+, AZ900, Google IT support certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer field-related support requests from field technicians by email/ticketing system and phone.
  • Thoroughly document issues, actions taken, and the resolution using a web-based ticketing system.
  • Identify issues through basic troubleshooting to enable proper routing of help requests beyond IT’s scope of responsibility to the appropriate support function
  • Facilitate recall and replacement of damaged/defective field equipment with the Equipment Supply Facility
  • Coordinate and facilitate Field laptop life cycle. Retrieve, backup, wipe, provision, QA, and deploy Field laptops.
  • Provide expert support for Examinetics equipment such as Salux Audio Equipment, Salux iPads, TSI Portacounts, EasyOne Spirometers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered on remote laptops as well as connected devices (e.g. printers, routers/APs , PortaCounts, propretary hardware, iPads etc.)
