Heavy Equipment Operators - Nevada (5/2 Schedule | 9-Month Project)
About The Position
We are hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a 9-month heavy civil/mining project in Northern Nevada. The schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off, with shifts lasting 10-12 hours per day. Daily transportation is provided from Winnemucca to the site. Accommodations are not provided, so candidates must live locally in or near Winnemucca or arrange their own housing. The role offers $35/hour plus overtime, and a $150 per day per diem for scheduled workdays. This position provides a predictable weekday schedule, 9-month project stability, and daily per diem to help with living costs, making it ideal for operators seeking steady work, reliable income, and weekends off. Start dates are available in May and June.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining or heavy civil environments
- MSHA Part 48 (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work a weekday‑style schedule for the duration of the project

- Experience with haul roads, pads, or bulk earthworks preferred
