The Heavy Equipment Operator 1 is responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and other equipment to move materials.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of the lifting capacity of each forklift and other equipment that he/she is certified to operate

Responsibilities

• Safely handle materials
• Load and off load materials and equipment
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely manner
• Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed
