About The Position

Linwood Mining and Minerals Corporation is a proven leader in the limestone industry. Linwood is currently seeking a self-motivated, reliable and safety-oriented Shop Superintendent and Heavy Equipment Manager. Our Heavy Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance, care and efficient operation of all heavy equipment used by the company. Each day, the role oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the 5-7 person maintenance team. A heavy focus is spent diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, while also conducting preventative maintenance and ensuring the right parts are available to keep operations moving smoothly. When not dealing with high-priority issues, the manager works with the the leadership team to negotiate new equipment prices, chooses vendors and analyzes future equipment needs. This role is also heavily involved in the creation and execution of the yearly equipment budget and maintaining equipment records. Our team operates under the highest safety standards and exhibits safe working habits.

Requirements

  • Previous heavy equipment repair experience. Specifically, if you're comfortable with John Deere, Komatsu and Caterpillar mining or construction equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively. Preference given to candidates who can read blueprints and have some hydraulic and electrical repair experience.
  • Management experience leading a team of service technicians, mechanics or similar role.
  • Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team.
  • Flexibility. No two days will be the same, as our operations are continually moving and changing.
  • This position works Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm each day but requires some flexibility depending on current projects/issues.
  • This position must possess a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
