About The Position

The Associate Financial & Health Actuary designs and refines predictive models, payer analysis tools, and automated reporting systems. This role blends technical analytics with strategic financial thinking, supporting the evolution of value-based care arrangements and operational efficiency. Ideal for an advanced analyst who wants to shape financial strategy through scalable modeling and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate models for cost trends, shared savings projections, and chronic condition forecasts.
  • Design self-service Tableau dashboards and analytic tools for contract modeling and ROI analysis.
  • Enhance ETL processes and implement automated error-checking and reconciliation workflows.
  • Collaborate with Other analysts to refine and standardize data infrastructure.
  • Conduct payer margin and scenario-based forecasting for finance leadership.
  • Support financial decision-making with custom tools and sensitivity analysis.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues across clinical, financial, and operational datasets.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical problems, including metric definitions, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Develop standardized metrics and KPIs to support consistent reporting across finance, operations, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making, including root-cause analysis and performance variance explanations.
  • Validate analytical outputs through peer review, reconciliation, and comparison to source systems.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting and analytics by identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, or retire low-value analyses.
