Health Unit Coordinator, Hospital at Home, Baptist Downtown
About The Position
Baptist Health is looking to add a Health Unit Coordinator to our Hospital at Home Team. This Health Unit Coordinator role is a Full-Time Days opportunity and is located at Baptist Downtown (Jacksonville, FL). Baptist Health is opening an innovative Hospital at Home program that allows patients to complete their hospital stay at home. Patients that will be part of this program are provided with remote patient monitoring (RPM), technology kits, and communication devices. A 24-hour command center staffed by nurses monitors patients virtually, and contracted personnel provide in-home care when required. This program represents a transformational initiative in healthcare delivery. The Health Unit Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the unit's daily operations. Responsibilities include clerical and operational tasks such as charge capture, answering phones in the command center, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and coordinating activities across all levels of the unit to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-2 years Experience working in a health care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Responsibilities
- Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
- Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
- Maintaining patient chart folders
- Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
- Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
