About The Position

Harmony Gardens is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join their team in Maplewood, MN. Harmony Gardens is a welcoming senior care community that values skills and dedication to excellent care. In this role, the HUC will coordinate information and provide administrative support to the team to ensure residents and visitors have the best possible experience. The ideal candidate has knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator. The campus opened in December 2022 and is a new state-of-the-art senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and long-term care options. Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience as a health unit coordinator
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
• Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Nice To Haves

• health information certification desired
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not needed.
• PointClickCare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Complete other tasks as requested.
