About The Position

The Health Services Support Technician provides materials management support. This role involves supporting the Materials Management department with supply and equipment distribution, as well as equipment cleaning.

Requirements

• Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
• High School diploma is required.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
• Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
• Possession of a valid FL Driver License and satisfactory driving record is required.
• Must have a clean driving record, free from major traffic offenses (e.g., accidents, DUIs, traffic violations, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assures that assigned vehicle(s) are clean and adequately supplied with fuel; reports need for maintenance to supervisor.
• Assists Materials Management with supply and equipment distribution throughout the hospital and to off-site locations as needed.
• Assists with; equipment cleaning, the restocking of supplies in automated supply cabinets, and restocking specialty carts, including but not limited to adult code carts.
• Assists with organizing and maintaining appropriate supply PAR levels in the storeroom.
• May be responsible for transporting sensitive medical supplies, equipment, or medications that require careful handling, timely delivery, and adherence to specific risk protocols (as applicable).

• Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
