This will provide you with the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes your personal and professional growth. We are seeking a full-time intern for our Houston office located in Katy, Tx to join ur team for a duration of 10 consecutive weeks from June to August. Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related technical field or foreign equivalent.
  • 18 years of age or older and able to work in Houston, TX
  • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third party
  • Understanding of internal project quality assessment process.
  • Demonstrates planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Level 1 (US IND).

Responsibilities

  • Implements action plans to drive a positive HSE culture and improve the quality and effectiveness of core HSE programs, HSE Management Systems and programs.
  • Provide field HSE support for designated events and projects as directed by your HSE supervisor.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to establishing and meeting HSE performance targets and generate ideas for continuous HSE performance improvement.
  • Understand and manage the hazards and risks associated with your role and other risks that can impact our organizational objectives.
  • Evaluation of hazards, exposures, and general impacts associated with operation of process equipment, facilities, and projects including large-scale construction within an existing facility.
  • Completion of technical documentation and training and support for operations/field personnel in regulatory/policy compliance
  • Development and implementation of plans, programs, and procedures guiding regulatory compliance, proper and safe operations, and prevention of undesired consequences.
  • Preparation and submission of internal and external reports and related documentation, including formal presentations to small and large groups.
  • Identification and qualification of outside resources and services.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations, field audits and other incident causation and prevention activities.
  • Participate in emergency planning and response activities.
