Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator
About The Position
VitalCheck Wellness, as an independent contractor, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HSE Coordinator to support the global Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program at a prestigious asset management firm headquartered in New York City. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about workplace safety, ergonomics, and employee wellness who’s ready to make a meaningful impact in a corporate environment. You’ll assist in conducting ergonomic assessments, supporting compliance and inspections, promoting wellness initiatives, and maintaining accurate HSE documentation — all while working collaboratively across teams to enhance a culture of safety and well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op placements welcome).
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Must be able to reliably commute to New York City, NY.

Responsibilities
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide workstation setup assistance.
- Support local health and safety compliance, inspections, and reporting.
- Assist with safety audits, documentation, and follow-up actions.

- Maintain HSE records and ensure accurate data tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement safety and wellness programs.
