How you'll contribute  The Health Information Management Manager Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.  Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Perform and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required
  • Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
  • Certifications: RHIT or RHIA
