About The Position

We are seeking an experienced hospitality focused Health Center Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee operations/dining rooms in our beautiful Acacia Health Center! Hourly pay is between $25-28/hr. We have 152 units in our Acacia Health Care Center that include Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, and Assisted Living. This Full-Time Role includes: Resident and Family Interaction: Reviews new admissions, engaging with current residents, their families, and visitors. Acquiring pertinent information when discussing our menus, likes/dislikes, dining times, and any other matters. Staff Supervision: Ensure all employees are following procedures completing training timely and fulfilling cleaning duties. Step into various roles as needed to meet operational demands, demonstrating leadership by setting a positive example for the team. Leadership and Departmental Meetings: Participate in weekly leadership meeting, participate in monthly department meeting presenting rotating topics. Operational Oversight: Completes multiple rounds daily. Ensure that our residents, staff, and visitors are provided with the utmost customer service. Support Life Service staff by ensuring all food requests are met and delivered timely. When needed initiates maintenance requests to keep the operations in working order, communicates with supporting departments. Menu Creation: Participate in menu planning that meets the needs and preferences of all the people we serve. Training and Development: Completes new hire training related to the position, instructs, demonstrates, and observes. When applicable retraining for existing staff as well as cross-training staff in other areas of the operations. Staff Compliance: Support management in monitoring staff absences, lateness, and all company policies. Regulatory and Inspection Support: Participate in regulatory surveys, county inspections, and mock inspections. Make corrections when needed and be part of new implementations and oversight. Inventory and Supply Management: Assists with completing food and supply requisitions, ensuring all PARS are met consistently, tallying monthly inventory collection, and ensuring emergency supplies are present. NO LATE NIGHTS! 8 hour shifts are anywhere between 7a-7p (ex: 7:00a-4:30p or 10:30a-7:00p) Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A minimum of five years of food service supervisory experience in a senior living setting or acute care. May be independent, skilled, Assisted Living, or hospital/behavioral. Hold a certified food protection (CFPM) manager certificate based on the Maricopa County Food Code requirements. Hold an Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willing to get one. Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and empathize with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.   • Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and empathize with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
  • Skilled in interpreting and explaining menu options, addressing inquiries, and coordinating the meal service process. Able to efficiently manage and respond to dietary requests and preferences.
  • Availability to work 5 days a week including some weekends and occasional holidays (with holiday pay).
