Health Care Technician II/EMT - Murdoch Developmental Center
About The Position
Murdoch Developmental Center is seeking a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our Transportation Department. This position is ideal for entry-level EMTs with some patient care experience who are looking to build their skills in a supportive team-oriented healthcare environment. As a Medical Transport Technician, you will be responsible for providing safe and compassionate transportation and medical support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), both on campus and off-site medical facilities. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. This position DOES NOT require NA I certification.
Nice To Haves
- Must have EMT certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
