This position advances multi-level health promotion strategies by coordinating community-based health coalitions, aligning partners, and working directly with community organizations and settings to promote health-supportive policies, systems, and environments. Health & Well-Being educators conduct local situational analyses and use experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation to deliver responsive, community-driven programming. The position collaborates with local agencies, schools, food systems partners, coalitions, and community residents to reduce silos, elevate resident voice, and strengthen community health and well-being, while supporting mental health, reducing suicide risk, preventing substance misuse and, supporting service professionals, and addressing root causes of health. Initial efforts will focus on implementing integrated health and well-being programming—including nutrition, physical activity, and mental and behavioral health—across communities, schools, and coalitions, while expanding community partnerships. This work will also include exploring the StrongBodies program, engaging health volunteers, and conducting situational health analyses to identify mental and physical health priorities and support health programming in community settings. County Location The main office for this position is located in Brown County, WI and the primary programming focus is Brown County; however, some programming may also be conducted over a broader geographical area. In Person It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Evening/Weekend Work This position may be required to work occasional nights and weekends to meet the program needs and priorities of the communities served. Travel Expectations It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions.
