About The Position

Maintain appropriate teller records regarding daily cash proofs; opening/closing of main and night depository vaults; maintain money supply in vault and at each teller window. Moderate amount of independent judgment required under minimum supervision. Responsible for all aspects of training new tellers that come to branch. The general responsibilities of the position, which are all completed within the framework of Bank policies and procedures, are:

Requirements

• Strong computer skills – ability to learn new computer systems
• Excellent customer service skills are a must
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• General working knowledge of bank operations, personnel policies, and any departmental policies
• Excellent working knowledge and background concerning teller procedures
• Must be able to lift bags of coin up to about 50 pounds each.

Responsibilities

• Order and receive money
• Monitor vault security
• Control money supply at each teller window and monitor dollar levels
• Keep records of teller proofs
• Ship money to Coxsackie in case of oversupply or mutilation
• See that work is processed properly and timely to the proof department
• Accept and process all type customer generated transactions
• Balance cash proof each day
• Monitor work performance of tellers at the branch location
• Assist in preparation for monthly audits
• Coordinate lunch/time off hours.
• Reconcile cashier checks, money orders, on a daily basis
• Any other duties as assigned by management
