About The Position

We invest in you while working together to strengthen our community. Head Start Preschool Teacher Child Focus 4629 Aicholtz Rd. Cincinnati, OH (main office) The actual location of the position will be at a site within Clermont County but is TBD. Child Focus is seeking dedicated early childhood professionals to serve as Head Start Preschool Teacher in a classroom for children ages 3-5 years old. The lead teacher is responsible for providing a learning experience that accommodates children’s needs and stimulates learning across all domains of development including lesson planning, screening and curriculum implementation. The lead teacher also works with the assistant teachers to ensure children’s basic needs are met and that the daily routine runs smoothly. The lead teacher establishes a partnership with families, and helps the families set and meet goals for their children and themselves. This position is a Full Time Seasonal position (August-May) Child Focus is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to join with communities in improving the quality of life for children, families and adults. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Degree
  • Pass physical examination, background check, and drug screen, and maintain required Physical/TB screen requirements
  • Available between 8-4:45 Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment, including full supervision of children at all times, in accordance with childcare licensing requirements.
  • Provide classroom experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, culturally and age-appropriate for the children served.
  • Ensure classroom arrangement, materials and displays are organized and conducive to children’s learning.
  • Document children’s progress through ongoing observation and direct assessment activities; use that data to plan and individualize curriculum.
