The Health & Nutrition Coordinator works in collaboration with the Operations Executive of Early Education and Executive Director of Early Education to plan and coordinate health, dental, immunizations, and nutrition services to children and families enrolled in early learning programs. The Health & Nutrition Coordinator provides health support by on-going monitoring of children's health documentation, observing children to assess needs, conducting health screenings, implementing specialized health procedures, creating food menus, and including food accommodations. The Health & Nutrition Coordinator also serves as the Administrator of the California Adult & Child Food Program (CACFP). The Health and Nutrition Coordinator collaborates and consults with Registered Nurse and Dietician consultants to ensure that health and nutritional needs of children in the program are met.
