We are building a team of operators, technologists, and creators committed to precision, performance, and operational excellence as we lead the next chapter of premium digital out-of-home media. As Head of Technology, you will oversee the architecture, design, and evolution of our core advertising technology stack while building and leading a high-performing engineering organization. You’ll partner with business, product, and data teams to drive the digital transformation of offline media—turning static displays into smart, measurable, and monetizable platforms. This leadership role requires strategic foresight, deep technical expertise, and the ability to scale both technology and team to meet the demands of a fast-growing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of R&D or engineering experience with a strong focus on enterprise architecture and distributed system design.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale system design, including caching, messaging, search mechanisms, and data pipelines.
  • Proven experience in technical architecture governance and creating technical standards for complex systems.
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining distributed systems at internet scale.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with proficiency in applying distributed technologies (e.g., caching, message queues) to optimize performance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with cross-cultural collaboration experience.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required for effective communication with global teams and stakeholders.
  • High sense of ownership, accountability, and resilience in fast-paced environments.
  • Analytical, structured, and independent thinker with a bias for action.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading technical teams or managing R&D groups; the ideal candidate demonstrates both strategic and hands-on leadership capabilities.

  • Prior exposure to large-scale advertising platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead development of the company’s offline advertising platform, ensuring best-in-class scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Manage R&D initiatives to drive innovation, experimentation, and integration of cutting-edge technologies across the DOOH ecosystem.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and operations teams to integrate intelligence and automation into the platform.
  • Guide the digitalization, intelligence, and precision transformation of offline advertising, co-creating a top-tier commercial monetization engine.
  • Lead the optimization and continuous evolution of platform architecture to align with business growth and emerging market needs.
  • Diagnose system bottlenecks, drive performance enhancements, and ensure continuous improvements in scalability, stability, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate new technologies and market trends, recommending strategic adoption to maintain technical leadership and innovation edge.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a world-class technology team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Define hiring standards, organizational structure, and team processes to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide technical direction and professional development opportunities for engineers, emphasizing collaboration and agility.
  • Champion best practices in engineering management, code quality, and operational efficiency.
