About The Position

Rent the Runway is hiring a senior leader who is a proven innovator at the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. This role is for someone who has hands-on experience building audiences, developing content strategies, and turning engaged communities into measurable business outcomes. As Head of Social & Creators, you will own RTR's full social and creative vision — across every platform, partnership, and cultural touchpoint — reporting directly to Exec. We're looking for an entrepreneurial operator with the strategic range to set the vision and the execution chops to see it through. You'll lead a talented team, work cross-functionally at the highest levels of the organization, and help define a function that is becoming central to how modern brands grow. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives with autonomy, moves with urgency, and knows how to build.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience managing a cross-functional team of social and creator marketers
  • Deep personal network of influencers, talent agencies, celebrity contacts, and entertainment industry partners
  • A proven track record of building and scaling creator and influencer programs that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Data fluent: a strong grasp of social and influencer KPIs with experience connecting creator investment to acquisition, revenue, and brand growth
  • Culturally plugged in: a deep knowledge of the music, film, fashion, and entertainment moments that shape consumer behavior and brand relevance
  • A compelling storyteller with the ability to craft a brand narrative that resonates across platforms and inspires both internal teams and external partners
  • Advanced negotiation skills with experience structuring talent and IP agreements, including exclusivity, usage rights, and long-term partnerships
  • Platform fluent across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging channels with a sharp eye for native content formats and emerging creator behavior
  • A strategic thinker who can spot cultural shifts early and position the brand as a first-mover
  • A confident, energizing leader who builds high-performing teams, champions creativity, and holds themselves and others accountable
  • Comfortable operating at the executive level: presenting insights, influencing decisions, and owning outcomes
  • A true owner mentality: resourceful, decisive, and always connecting day-to-day work to the bigger business picture

Responsibilities

  • Take us to the next-level. Evolve and lead RTR's social, creator, and entertainment strategy across every platform, setting the cultural tone, aesthetic, and voice that makes the brand impossible to ignore and drives meaningful acquisition at scale
  • Build the playbook. Oversee end-to-end creator, content, and influencer programs — from talent identification and partnership strategy to content direction, performance measurement, and long-term relationship building that compounds over time
  • Turn culture into customers. Translate social engagement, creator partnerships, celebrity, and entertainment moments into measurable new customer acquisition, working hand-in-hand with performance and growth teams to close the loop between inspiration and conversion
  • Scale what works. Evolve RTR's affiliate, UGC, content, celebrity relations, and community programs into a scalable, revenue-generating engine by identifying the right partners, tools, and incentive structures that consistently produce high-demand content and loyal advocates
  • Lead with community at the center. Champion an engaged RTR community across platforms, transforming subscribers and loyal customers into brand evangelists whose voices amplify the brand further than any paid channel ever could
  • See around corners. Spot emerging opportunities,creator and/or content formats, and cultural shifts before they peak, positioning RTR as a first-mover in and ensuring the brand is always where the culture is going, not where it's been
  • Inspire a world-class team. Develop, lead, and energize a high-performing team of social, content, and creator marketers building a culture where creativity is celebrated, progress trumps perfection, accountability is the norm, and big swings are encouraged
  • Operate like an owner. Report directly to Exec, partnering cross-functionally with Brand, Growth, Product, CRM, and Accounting, Finance, and Business Intelligence teams to embed social and creator strategy into the full customer journey
  • Interpret Data to Tell the Story. Define and own KPIs across reach, engagement, and acquisition impact and deliver sharp, confident insights to senior leadership that connect social investment directly to business outcomes
