Our founders are looking for a highly ambitious and highly skilled retail enterprise sales leader responsible for developing and executing strategies to offer and implement our AI-Native solutions across retail, building and mentoring sales teams, driving revenue growth, and most importantly: build deep relationships with retail executives. This role requires a unique blend of AI understanding, consultative selling skills, technical sales experience, and leadership abilities. Key responsibilities include creating sales plans, fostering partner relationships, collaborating with technical product, technology, and marketing teams, and establishing sales pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Retail Relationships: Develop lasting relationship with all key retail industry stakeholders and executives.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets, identify growth sectors, and tailor outreach to key markets with a focus on consumer retail enterprises.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, coach, and mentor high-performing sales professionals to scale the sales organization.
  • Enterprise Sales: Drive complex, strategic sales cycles with C-level executives and other stakeholders, focusing on consultative selling and demonstrating ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration with Deeply Technical Teams: Work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align sales and partnerships efforts with product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and refine repeatable sales processes, maintain accurate forecasting, manage CRM hygiene, and beyond.
  • Market Influence and Thought Leadership: Influence the retail industry through thought leadership to help cement market leadership for Verneek.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of AI, machine learning, cloud-based SaaS, and related technologies, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Enterprise Sales Expertise: Proven experience in enterprise technology sales, complex solution selling, and selling to C-level executives.
  • Leadership & Team Building: A track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams, often in high-velocity, hypergrowth environments.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and execute sophisticated go-to-market strategies and define the sales playbook for new AI markets.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent listening, presentation, and negotiation skills to build trust and connect complex AI solutions with client needs.
  • Operational & Analytical Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficiency with CRM platforms, and an ability to use data-driven frameworks for decision-making.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to foster relationships that create enduring trust and engagement for Verneek.
