About The Position

Our goal is to build the platform that enables the next generation of AI - putting the world's most capable and safe AI models in the hands of millions of developers. As Head of Product Management for the Claude Developer Platform, you will be a key strategic leader driving our developer platform strategy and API product vision. We're looking for an exceptional product leader who has built ecosystems, developer platforms or APIs at scale, deeply understands what makes developers successful, regularly ships products that other builders bet their business on, and is eager to dive into everything from API architecture to developer community building. The best candidates will be extremely hands-on, obsessed with developer experience, and opinionated about a future where builders have all the AI tools they can imagine at their fingertips. You'll lead a team of product managers who work on everything from API design and SDK development, to pricing and packaging strategy, to documentation and developer tools, to enterprise partnerships and go-to-market execution. You'll partner with our research, infrastructure, and sales teams to balance cutting-edge capabilities with production reliability. Ultimately you'll help us build the platform that developers choose when they're building the most important AI applications in the world.

Requirements

10+ years of progressive experience in product management, including at least 5 years in senior roles leading developer platform or API products
Experience in building and working with cutting-edge AI tools and an opinion about what paths AI takes in the future
Extensive experience in strategic product leadership roles in developer tools, API platforms, or infrastructure-as-a-service
A proven track record of scaling developer products and API businesses from early stage to enterprise scale
Deep understanding of developer ecosystems, API monetization, and platform business models
Experience managing product teams across developer experience, API development, and third-party integrations
Strong technical background with ability to work closely with engineering teams on complex API architecture decisions
Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing product management teams
Customer-obsessed mindset with experience being customer-facing and representing companies externally
Experience taking developer products from concept to scale with millions of users

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Own the complete vision for how developers build with Claude, from the core API to the tools, SDKs, and integrations that make AI accessible across every development environment.
Developer Champion & Ecosystem Builder: Build partnerships that extend Claude's reach through integrations, ecosystem programs, and distribution relationships. Engage directly with major partners on business relationships and technical decisions, participating in architecture reviews and shaping product roadmaps based on enterprise deployment patterns.
Enterprise Platform Product Leadership: Ship capabilities that enable production at scale: security controls, enterprise authentication, and SLAs for mission-critical applications. Design APIs that enterprise architects can confidently adopt, with rate limiting, monitoring, and documentation that answers both technical and procurement questions. Partners with customers to build products that meet their needs, closing new deals where needed.
Product Execution at Scale: Partner with engineering on architecture for billions of API requests, including infrastructure scaling, model deployment, and reliability guarantees. Ship the essentials: platform that unlocks the most intelligence from the model, documentation that preempts questions, error handling that aids debugging, and monitoring that provides application visibility.
