About The Position

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions within Specialty Care and General Medicines at Sanofi. The Sanofi Patient Support Services (PSS) team is dedicated to supporting patients accessing Sanofi therapies by offering programs for reimbursement, logistics, financial assistance, and patient education, alongside field teams providing education and support. Sanofi is seeking an innovative, strategic, and experienced Patient Support Services leader to serve as the Head of PSS, Evolution and Strategy. This pivotal role involves strategic ownership and execution of innovative projects focused on improving patient and HCP experience, modernizing the strategic vision, solutions, and capabilities. The Head will have shared ownership of the PSS Roadmap, continuously defining and refining it with the leadership team. Current Centers of Excellence (COEs) include Patient Experience, HCP Experience, and AI Technology, and this role will shape and evolve their strategies and capabilities. The individual will leverage dedicated resources and collaborate with the PSS team and cross-functional partners to enhance performance and service delivery, aiming for a best-in-class patient experience. These strategic projects will impact PSS's effectiveness, Sanofi’s PSS awareness and perception, and PSS employee experience. The role requires a solution-oriented, operationally savvy, creative, highly organized, flexible individual adept at managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and stakeholders. This leader must have deep and broad experience across PSS areas like HUBs, SPs, operations, and technology, and ideally a network of innovative disruptors. They will also ensure consistency of access tools and language across brands and manage unified PSS messaging. Reporting to the Head of PSS, this role sits on the PSS LT and drives innovation across internal functions and external vendors.

Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with a focus on patient support services PSS operations and performance experience
  • Proven track record in leading strategic transformation initiatives and managing operational changes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional commercial initiatives.
  • Experience in developing business cases inclusive of expected impact and change management needs
  • Strong understanding and experience with FDA or OIG regulations.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including building strong working relationships and managing conflict.
  • Demonstrates initiative, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Superb communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change in a high-energy and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and execution for assigned projects within PSS, supporting the transformation of Sanofi PSS programs to build and maintain best-in-class patient, HCP and caregiver experiences.
  • Develop, continuously refine and communicate a visionary roadmap for the transformation of Sanofi's PSS ecosystem. As well as communication and alignments to ongoing learnings and the development of the PSS ecosystem across Sanofi leadership and teams
  • Lead and inspire the team responsible for transformative efforts to achieve strategic and operational objectives. In addition, creation of the value-at-stake and performance KPIs across greater HCP and patient impact while reducing program cost and gross-to-net impact.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence through coaching and professional development of team members
  • Direct horizon scanning activities to identify opportunities to bring external innovation into PSS as a means of achieving best-in-class patient, HCP and caregiver experiences, with a large focus on AI digital technologies.
  • Drive innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities and services of existing brand support programs.
  • Identify and implement new approaches and technologies to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the strategic planning and execution of new program launches within the PSS ecosystem in collaboration with other therapeutic area leads
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of patient support services.
  • Drive unified PSS messaging in partnership with the Enterprise Delivery Office, ensuring cohesive messaging and strategic alignment around the ecosystem that will serve as the PSS foundation for all future GMs and new to market brand teams.
  • Lead prioritization of strategic initiatives and partnerships, translating complex operational insights into clear executive narratives for decision-making.
  • Provide strategic oversight for the operational aspects of transformation efforts, ensuring smooth integration and execution.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of transformation efforts, utilizing data and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transformative initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with other cross-functional Patient Services and Sanofi teams to support the implementation of patient support strategies.
  • Ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and coordinated efforts across brands.
