About The Position

HKA is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Marketing, Americas, to lead the region’s marketing function in close collaboration with Business Development (BD) leaders and Service Line Leads. This role is a hybrid position located in either New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. In this senior executive role, the Head of Marketing will define and deliver a commercial vision that drives client engagement, revenue growth, and brand leadership across all service lines and priority industries. Working closely with the Business Development team, Service Line Leads, and their teams, this leader will strengthen HKA’s go‑to‑market strategy across several strategic priorities, support client acquisition and retention, and deepen strategic client engagement, and ensure alignment with regional strategic objectives. This individual will provide strategic and commercial leadership that supports regional growth, including the marketing of new and emerging services, developing and delivering go‑to‑market plans and client‑focused growth initiatives. The role involves overseeing brand, support to revenue generating activities, communications, and reputation‑building across the Americas. The role also includes building and developing a high‑performing marketing team and managing budgets while demonstrating a clear return on investment across all marketing and business development activity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in the legal, consulting, or professional services industry; experience in forensic or litigation-related services highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through integrated marketing and BD strategies.
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing, brand strategy, pipeline development, and market analytics.
  • Strong command of CRM and marketing technology platforms, with a track record of using data driven insights to enable commercial decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with C-suite executives, BD leaders, and Service Line Leads.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver a comprehensive Americas marketing strategy fully integrated with BD leaders and Service Line Leads to accelerate revenue growth and strengthen client relationships.
  • Design and implement strategies that enhance client acquisition, cross‑selling and account growth, working closely with BD and Service Line Leads.
  • Act as a commercial advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on market opportunities, client needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead the development and delivery of high‑quality client‑facing materials including proposals, presentations and credential decks, ensuring they clearly articulate HKA’s value proposition and support successful business development outcomes.
  • Support key account programs and revenue generating initiatives by equipping BD and Service Line teams with insights, tools, and campaigns to expand strategic client relationships.
  • Embed data-driven marketing and automation into regional processes, ensuring campaigns drive lead generation, pipeline development and client retention, with all opportunities accurately captured within CRM and reporting systems.
  • Ensure regional events, conferences and speaking engagements are fully leveraged for relationship development and potential opportunities tracked within CRM systems and Power BI.
  • Elevate HKA’s brand positioning in the Americas, ensuring messaging, visual identity, and market understanding of HKA’s services and value proposition.
  • Lead external communications and public relations to strengthen media visibility and support BD-led market influence.
  • Implement communications initiatives that ensure alignment between messaging to the market, and internally between marketing, BD, and Service Line teams.
  • Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing regional marketing team that collaborates effectively with BD leaders and Service Line Leads.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and commercial impact across the function.
  • Manage the Americas marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and measurable business impact.
  • Define and report on shared marketing–BD performance metrics, demonstrating ROI and contribution to pipeline and revenue growth.
