About The Position

Head of Digital Channel - Hotel Chocolat US Chicago, IL Newark, NJ Hybrid (on-site 3 days a week) Hotel Chocolat has built a strong position as the UK’s favorite premium chocolate brand As we enter the second phase of US rollout, driving our 3-channel compounding flywheel, The Digital channel will be one of the most critical pieces for reach and scale. The Head of Digital for Hotel Chocolat US will provide strategic digital channel leadership as part of the US Leadership team and will lead the development and execution of our direct to consumer and digital reseller partners such as Amazon and Tik Tok Shop. They will ensure sound business analysis and optimization of sales, Customer acquisition costs and lifetime value, optimization of our current D2C platform and build our Digital Reseller strategy. Focus on delivering sales volume and earnings performance tracking and analysis, delivery of key initiatives, marketing and trade investment as well as delivering on key sales KPI financials. They will be responsible for locking in Year 1 programs as well as building for the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5+ years’ experience leading digital channel expansion with strong focus on direct to consumer and pureplay
  • Digital P&L management, S&OP and 5-year planning
  • Strong understanding of Pureplay and last mile delivery customers
  • Revenue, conversion and trading performance in an online setting, Including customer journeys and optimization
  • Leading and building diverse teams
  • Key understanding of Annual Execution plan and 5-year IVCP Inputs
  • Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-channel or specialty channel experience
  • SRM/Pricing, Customer Marketing and sales infrastructure/operations experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • To partner with US GM as part of the US Leadership Team to develop short- and long-term strategic direction for D2C, Omni channel and Pureplay partners within the digital channel.
  • Own digital channel strategy and planning, deployment and performance
  • Own Full Digital P&L including demand and revenue, cost and overheads.
  • Lead development of the digital channel demand signal and short/long term promotional plans for S&OP and S&OE.
  • Work alongside finance and marketing to build the 5-year Value Creation plan (IVCP) over the mid- and long-term horizon, mapping out key scenarios for profitable growth within the digital channel
  • Drive performance across key digital metrics Including lifetime value, customer conversion and customer acquisition.
